What is a Bad CV?.

How to lay out your CV.
2 pages is standard, you start with your name at the top.
Knowing Yourself.
Add your studies, previous employment, interests, include voluntary work and awards. Skills.
What achievements you have, show them off. What are you proud of ?
A CV is a sales document, add a description of jobs held, bullet points to highlight tasks, charity work, add your LinkedIn account.
Have an introduction to your CV, how would you distil yourself down into 2 lines.
Who are you, what are your interests, how to hook the reader.
Qualifications.
Add qualifications, if you haven't yet qualified, add due to qualify in? or the final year you are due to graduate e.g. summer 2019.
Put yourself in the employers shoes, what are they looking for, I want to work for you because,? I want the role because,? I have skills of.? I am based in.
Add work experiences.
Add your email address but don't add your address, gender, d.o.b or marital status, it is not needed and you need to be careful of fraud when adding your CV online.

Covering Letter.
When writing a covering letter to go with your CV add a brief introduction, where you saw the job advertised, why you are interested in the role, what makes you suitable and add a polite closure. In the job description it will say what the employer is wanting, can you do what they want?
